The story of the Prophet Lut Alaihissalam

AS prophet Lut Alaihissalam is the son of the brother of the Prophet Ibrahim Alaihissalam. And he accompanied the migration of Prophet Ibrahim Alaihissalam from the land of Babylon to the land of Sham or what is known as Kanan which is known as Palestine. After achieving success and wealth they divided their farming business. Prophet Ibrahim Alaihissalam worked in the west of Palestine while Prophet Lut Alaihissalam lived in the east of Palestine, which is close to the city of Sodom.

It was in the city of Sodom that Prophet Luth Alaihissalam was sent by Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to straighten things out his people who are immoral and moral. They are a nation that is very cruel to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala who has no shame, lives gloriously with wealth and also with disobedience. They love the same sex or what is called homosexual robbing molestation and various other crimes. Even they do not know the existence of religion and also existence of God.

If Prophet Lut Alaihissalam invites his people to the right path with wisdom and scares them with the torment of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, they will answer “Bring the torment of Allah, Hai lut, if you are a righteous person.” As God’s word in the Qur’an is Surat Al Ankabut verses 28 to 29.

After hearing his people who mocked and wanted to expel him, the Prophet Lut Alaihissalam prayed to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala and the prayer of the Prophet Lut Alaihissalam was granted by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala so the angels were sent to send down a very painful punishment for the people of the Prophet Lut Alaihissalam who very disobedient and who deny Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. Before coming to Prophet Lut Alaihissalam and his people, the angels first came to Prophet Ibrahim Alaihissalam to inform him that they were sent by Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to destroy the people of Sodom because of their crimes and heinous deeds. Then Prophet Ibrahim Alaihissalam heard the news from the angels, and said. “Oh my God, in that country there is the Prophet Lut Alaihissalam what if his country is destroyed?” As in the word of God, namely in the Qur’an Surah Al Ankabut verse 32.

Before the State of Nabi Luth Alaihissalam was destroyed, the angels came in the form of very handsome teenagers all to the house of Nabi Luth Alaihissalam, so he felt difficult because he was afraid that his guests would be robbed by his people.

Prophet Luth Alaihissalam’s concern turned out to be true, because all of a sudden the people of Prophet Luth Alaihissalam came to Seraya’s house and said, “give the guest to us so we can get married”.

Not coincidentally, Prophet Luth Alaihissalam replied, “don’t ask for my guests, And if you want a wife, let me find beautiful and halal women for you to marry, and Why is it that none of you have any sense?”. They replied, “O Lut! You already know about me, that I don’t like someone woman”.

Because the evil and abominations of his people had exceeded the limit, then the Prophet Lut Alaihissalam was ordered by Allah to go with his family and believers to leave his people because the punishment was near. As the word of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala in the Qur’an, namely Surah Al Hud verse 81.

With the coming of the order from Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala, then the Prophet Luth Alaihissalam came out with his people, namely those who obey and believe in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. Then no. How long will the punishment of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala come as in the words of Allah in Surat Al Hud verse 82.

Such is the explanation of the torment that befell the people of Prophet Luth Alaihissalam as an example for those who want to think.

CONCLUSIONS FROM THE HISTORY OF THE PROPHET LUTH AS:

• The people of the Prophet Lut Alaihissalam are people who wallow and also people who like to do evil and evil. They like to do heinous deeds, namely men marrying men and they do not like to marry women.

• They also do not like to receive advice from Prophet Luth Alaihissalam even though he has repeatedly advised him. They even challenged the punishment of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
